Major Quest Update: Boss Run 5: Spydyr's Tectonic Plates▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬A major Quest upgrade along with a second Checkpoint has been released! People have been struggling with Boss Run 5 for quite a long time, especially due to the fact that only 1 Checkpoint was available and the quest isn't necessarily a short one either. This update brings massive upgrades, improvements, quest flow changes, and overall visual enhancements into the area.Patch Notes▬▬▬- The infamous 2nd Checkpoint has been activated and can now be accessedThis checkpoint is located right after the final muddy road where the green peninsula begins that leads to the large green plains. Watch out, when you jump out of the Checkpoint it leads straight to danger if you aren't ready. The cost is 88 Gold Nuggets, so not too expensive.- Updated the whole end part's graphics to absolutely stunning level of detailWhen Boss Run 5 map was originally made, we didn't yet have access to all the stunning new graphics we have now, so I got inspired recently and ended up re-mapping many of the areas with updated graphics and improving every little detail with important quest flow mechanics along the way.- Removed all player-triggered raids that existed past the 2nd CheckpointThese mechanisms were designed with the idea in mind that people would start questing from CP1 and move steadily onwards. The quest turned out to be excessively long and challenging to have just one checkpoint, so I decided to remove all the player-triggered raids and replace everything with casual, normal spawns of monsters. This also makes things more predictable, since raids would have spawned things randomly within a specific area but now the monsters always spawn at the same square meter. Also, the removal of raid mechanics allows people to easily re-try accessing the deeper parts of Boss Run 5 without having things spawn directly on top of them due to the raid mechanics.▬▬▬- Added multiple smooth and fun extra spots to the quest that will give high XP- Spydyr & Tectonic Mauler can be fought now in areas with more predictability- Added extra resurrection tiles to deeper parts of Boss Run 5 with anti-resurrection zones- Added new Adventure Levers to deep BR5 parts that show ON/OFF state when lookedAnd finally, yes, there are some great rewards available! I've made some slight changes and updates to those as well since new era gear was released after Boss Run 5 and things have taken a faster pace than anticipated! Abyss 3 Dungeon Hunt Spot Update▬▬▬A new type of hunting system has been added to Abyss 3. The ground level map has also been tweaked and updated heavily to make it possible to deal with a larger group of monsters. There is now more space to shoot, lure, and overall deal with groups of high-end monsters.The old "Raid 3" southeast of Checkpoint has been replaced with an updated Dungeon Chamber. The Chamber can be accessed by having a minimum of 4 XP Graves.Launching the Dungeon requires a minimum of 5 players, and each player must be at least level 3500.The multi-wave dungeon raid lasts for roughly 60 minutes, after which the remaining monsters will despawn. Waves come in different strengths, with the biggest blast of possible XP Gains coming in the final wave, which includes X Bosses and Lazermons.The following monsters are spawned in a variety of waves: Vermithrax, Orbithrax, Procyon, Achernar (including X Boss versions of each), Orionis, Vladracula, Babylonian & Greythorn Draconis, Ratotouille, Scabber, Chameletroll, Craaktron Cryoflux, Angel of Orion, White Ripper, and Lazermon.Once the raid begins, Pulsating Skull animations, along with a timer at the chamber, will be visible to mark that the dungeon raid is ongoing and to show its duration.This gives a great reason for solo players or any other group of warriors to gather up and organize some fun hardmode raids. EXP RaidWhat is an EXP Raid?EXP Raid is a special event every Sunday evening where players can gain tons of levels with minimal effort. It’s designed to help new and mid-level players catch up quickly—just shoot the raid monsters and hang out with your friends in the raid area. :)To maximize benefits, show up an hour or two early. We usually kick off with pre-raid EXP monsters. Bring all your characters and start gaining levels! You can also try different vocations (mage, paladin, knight) to see which one you prefer. The pre-raid starts early, and the official raid lasts 30 minutes. Don’t miss it!

Spydyr's Nest: New Hunting Areas & New Bosses 🕸▬▬▬This spot can be accessed north of Spydyr's Sanctum 2 underground Draconis spot, right behind where Nibiru Draconis spawns. Spydyr itself, obviously, and Lazermon, Craaktron Cryoflux along with Tectonic Mauler can all be found and fought against at the deeper parts of the area.There are signs with lore-like texts that explain how these new bosses could be handled. I made the area specifically like this in hopes of people using it to learn how each of the boss functions, so that if they are ever met deep in a multi-hour quest, it wouldn't come to a sharp end and there would rather be a fair fight.Most of the area is filled with other types of regular monsters with fast spawn rates, this spot can be hunted at solo or even with a larger group of people.The following monsters are available before you ever get to encounter the bosses:Craakodile, Pterrordactyl, Carniphilus Toxicus, Ahmose Henuttamehu, Landvaettir, Desposada Malevola, Amante Sangriento, Emerald Loremaster, La Gargouille, Magetaur, White Ripper, Sapphier Loremaster, Scabber, Ratatouille, Black RipperHave fun exploring, and let me know if and when you find anything that should be improved! 🙂For some more in-depth info, look at our discord at discord.gg/outcastserver
New hunting spots & wild Monsters
Emerald Archipelago: New Hunting Spot Expansions & New Monsters▬▬▬In the first patch of new hunting area expansions, we've released extra spots nearby the Kingdom Farmlands 2 hunting area and Procyon's Lair. These areas are accessible only if you have a specific amount of XP Graves collected. The area is a group of underground islands lush with vegetation and visually stunning spots the deeper you go. The place is called the Emerald Archipelago.1st Area: Accessible directly from west of KF2 - XP Grave Requirement: 2/6▬▬Vermithraxes, Orbithraxes, Procyons & Ophiuchuses are available with extremely fast spawn rates, so this area can be considered a superior version of KF2.2nd Area: Accessible south of 1st Area (4/6 XP Grave Requirement). Monsters and items and everything else
Monsters Library Updates▬▬▬The Monsters Library was updated and everything is up to date there, so it can be used to browse the items while you're figuring out what to go after! If you cannot see any new items, for example, in Spydyr or Lazermon (just as an example) – Try using incognito mode and/or clear your cookies for Outcast.Monstershttps://monsters.outcastserver.com/Itemshttps://monsters.outcastserver.com/items.htmlI've also gone through a massive amount of monsters and removed useless loots, gold coins, and other things from monsters which are hunted by only high levels. This will make looting a much smoother experience.Also, a while ago many new collectibles were added and the Monsters Library is now fully up to date as to which monster drops which collectible. More will be added soon as well, so keep an eye on the patch notes as always!Many incorrect images were corrected, and item descriptions for various equipment pieces were corrected and updated as well. Stats of the items are a subject to change as well once more discussions begin to take place about stuff.As a final word on top of the million words I already wrote, I'd like to remind people that Enchanted Gear (Sets, Rings, etc) will also eventually become sellable so those can be liquidated if GNs are needed. And more importantly, they will also become part of a bigger gear improving scheme. So, if possible, hold on to all the gear you can. Casual, non-enchanted items (Full rare sets, etc) will also be used more widely so it's always a good idea to hold on to them as well unless you truly need to sell. To clarify, if you one day advance from an enchanted a non-enchanted Hoodoo Set to a Neptune Set, you should hold on to that Hoodoo set as it will play a part in future upgrades. Same goes for lower end equipment as well such as Oceanics and so forth. Outfit Updates at Fabric Phantom
Outfit Additions & Info▬▬▬19 new Outfits were added to Fabric Phantom at the third level of Temple & Depot.The following Outfits are now available:Banshee, Minotaur Guard, Minotaur Mage, Minotaur Archer, Naked Minotaur, Orc Warlord, Orc Leader, Orc Berserker, Orc Shaman, Orc Warrior, Orc Spearman, Orc, Elf Arcanist, Elf Scout, Dwarf Geomancer, Dwarf Guard, Dwarf Soldier – All of the Humanoid-Animal outfits are multi-color, so various body part colors can be changed freely.Humanotaur and Womanotaur outfits were also added. Upcoming Releases & Updates▬▬▬We've got tons of insanity being released soon: Boss Run 5 Checkpoint 2 along with massive updates to the rest of Boss Run 5, as letting people access the CP2 will change the quest flow and dynamics to a point where timed events aren't that fitting for the place anymore, along with timed raids and whatever hidden and unmentioned mechanics exist there. Many changes had to be done in order for the 2nd Checkpoint to work properly.As Boss Run 5 also includes many new bosses with new mechanics, some of the soon-to-be-released areas will have these same bosses available in a much more easily accessible way so that people can test them out and try to learn the mechanics!Also further expansions to current hunting areas will be released with new access mechanics based on current XP Grave counts and so forth. These areas will also include many types of new monsters that have only been accessible in hardmode questing sessions. Hitchhiker's Realm, Kingdom Farmlands 2, Procyon's Lair, Spydyr's Sanctum 2 are some of the areas that will get major expansions.With the new areas and monsters, naturally new gear in the form of EQ, weapons, shields, backpacks, and cosmetics-related things will be released as well.Plenty of madness on the way, prepare your souls for the ultimate adventures! 🔥For some more in-depth info, look at our discord at discord.gg/outcastserver
The battle against AFK leveling
AFK Leveling & Counter-Measures▬▬▬To nobody's surprise, people got creative again recently and started developing methods of gaining levels with as little effort as possible. Mainly, group hunts where many people were AFK became popular again. Also, offscreen shooting & killing became a bad habit which is something that I have nipped in the bud as well very quickly when I noticed it becoming a more frequent thing.The following things were developed as counter-measures against AFK group hunting:As many already know, high level players at 3.5k and above now need to buy Magical Rune Charges which are capped at 60k for the time being, this prevents long term AFKing at a specific spot without moving.I also developed a system for bigger parties that tracks their activities, movement, and interaction with the game and based on that, lowers the XP gained when staying AFK. People can still get task kills if they wish to while being in an AFK group, but XP isn't something that will be flowing in as well as before.On top of that, something that hasn't publicly been mentioned yet, I changed the mechanisms of how far a player must be in order for a monster to spawn nearby. Basically, you have to be quite a bit further from the monsters' spawn point for it to spawn now than ever before.Not only that, monsters that have no target and are in fully idle mode are taking 0 damage. This means that you cannot kill things off-screen anymore, which I think is an important update as well. You have to be actively playing against the monster in order to do damage to it and kill it.Lastly, I saw signs of people starting a new method of AFK hunting by using follow. I've created something very simple that will obviously be improved, but this feature currently disables follow automatically if you are not interacting for a specific amount of time. This is quite easy to bypass, obviously, so further improvements will be done.It's better to be proactive here and prevent things from going too far, as they have sometimes gone before. Gotta live and learn! People of Outcast are super creative, though. So we'll see how things develop! 🙂Many of the previously mentioned features in the post were already rolled out days and weeks ago and the results have been pretty good. But yeah, gotta keep on observing the situation! With all the things coming, it was important that we add them now and not later. And yeah, what's comin'? Outfit Updates & Info▬▬▬Finally, the new Outfits, Addons & Shaders system has been released. We're gonna go through the changes, updates and how everything works in this post. Its a very multi-dimensional system, so its probably for the best if I explain how everything functions and what the future possibilities are so people know what to expect and how to deal with everything. 🙂Currently in the first release, I've only added 8 new Outfits, 30 Addons for Old school Outfits, and 1 Shader. A new NPC, Fabric Phantom, was also added to 2nd floor in Temple and all the current cosmetics can be purchased either by using Gold Nuggets or Outcast Tokens. Right now we have hundreds and hundreds of Outfits, Addons & Shaders yet to be released that will eventually be available through Fabric Phantom & Achievements/Tasking system. These things will get rolled out on a weekly basis, mostly, from now on. The prices of cosmetics will always be extremely high when purchased from Fabric Phantom with either Gold Nuggets or Outcast Tokens, the reason for this is to maintain their rarity and encourage people to use the task/achievement system as first option. The main way that people will most likely get new cosmetics is through the tasks & achievements system built for them. All the cosmetics will be available from Fabric Phantom for Nuggets & Tokens. Also every cosmetic will eventually be obtainable through one of these methods: Lootable cosmetic items which can be used to activate a cosmetic, multi-dimensional tasks & requirements system either through an NPC or directly through the Outfit Menu.Currently when you try wearing a cosmetic that has been released, it'll either be possible to wear it which means you've met the requirements. If you cannot wear the cosmetic, you will see a message popping up that explains the requirements. It could be a singular requirement or a more complex set of requirements, such as the need to have a specific grave count from a quest or the need to have all graves and adventures from specific areas, or even Age and EXP Bomb and Zombie win related requirements along with a specific amount of maximum Task Points to access an Outfit, Addon or a Shader. Runeless System Updates▬▬▬The "non-item" Charge for the Runeless System has finally been implemented after a long wait. It is only functional for players above level 3.5k - Low level players still have infinite rune charges for the time being. There is now a universal Magical Rune & Spells Charge system that you can load up through NPC Presko at +1 in Temple & Depot. Using any rune will consume these charges. They are currently capped at 60k Charges (the actual final number will be determined through people's feedback). 60k Charges only cost 1 Gold Nugget in the beginning.When high level players first login, they start with 0 Charges so you have to instantly run to Presko and get those charges loaded up!Say !charges in default chat to see how many charges you currently hold. Also current charge count is shown in the Log window inside the Client.After a few days we'll be able to see the longer term implications of the charge system, how it affects peoples hunts and sessions, if the 60k cap is sufficient and whatever else comes up.It took way too long to implement the charge system for the runeless system, but its now here so lets get rockin'Only Sudden Death (SD), Avalanche, Ultimate Healing (UH) and Mana runes now use Magical Rune & Spell charges. Nothing else uses charges currently. Spydyr's Sanctum Updates & New Expansions 🕸️ ▬▬▬These new areas were already added some days ago but have been finalized just now after getting good feedback from the people!The new boss area at Spydyr 2 has been further expanded and doubled in size, the expansion area is full of Achernars, Procyons, Vermithraxes, Orbithraxes and a couple of Elder Ophiuchuses. The expanded road can be found up north, it is also now connected to the other new Draconis area.A second expansion area was also added to Spydyr 2, it expansd the Cosmic Draconis spawn towards north, where new monsters such as Intergalactic Draconis & Nibiru Draconis are available. The area is large with many empty spaces, so luring Intergalactic and Nibiru draconises can be done as long as the correct tactics are employed. Everytime you see green flashing statues, it means that a dangerous Draconis is naerby, so watch out for those!All of the expansion areas have quite fast spawntimes so constant hunting is possible without having to wait for respawn.Also many other visual improvements were done to old Spydyr 2 areas as well as the expansion spots, so seeing the upper floors and being confused by them is no longer possible. We've been cookin new types of Graves
EXP Grave Updates▬▬▬2 new extra EXP Graves have been added into the game, there are now 8 EXP Graves in total. These are basically static XP Graves, so their placement will always be the same unless announced otherwise. One of the static XP Graves has been placed to Boss Run 4 right before Intergalactic Hitchhiker but right after the locked stones. The other static XP Grave has been placed to Boss Run 5, its located nearby the part where the tight green peninsula ends right around where the big green field begins.These static XP Graves do not count towards the 6/6 hidden XP Graves (reason being to not cause imbalance for tasks), but they will add to your total EXP Grave count that you've found historically. Also !graves command now shows your total historical XP Grave count next to the amount of hidden XP Graves you've located so far!Hopefully this brings an extra layer of motivation for people to run through higher end quests and/or even assist new people through them since theres a reward available at the end in the form of XP!Also, these 2 new static EXP Graves give 3x the amount of XP compared to normal graves. Naturally, EXP Graves have been reset and moved to new hidden locations. 6 EXP Graves are hidden and 2 of them are in known static locations. To conclude: there are now 8 EXP Graves.Have a fun adventure locating the Intergalactic EXP Graves!

Party Share/Boost Updates▬▬▬One thing I havent mentioned in the updates section is the recent change with how the party XP sharing system works. The issue for quite long has been that people only favored duo hunts (2 person parties). These new changes make party hunting profitable, fun and beneficial with higher amount of people in party.Now that having 3, 4 or even more people in a party is profitable again, I decided removed the 200% Party XP Boost event completely to balance things out. The idea is to develop some sort of solo boost that would replace the 200% Party XP Boost event, but its still in design phase.Before the party share worked like this given you had +75% XP Boost activated as well(old system)2 Players in party, each get the following share from monsters XP: 87%3 Players in party, each get the following share from monsters XP: 58%4 Players in party, each get the following share from monsters XP: 43%5 or more Players in party, stays at a constant 35% indefinitelyNow the party system works in the following way, reducing 10% from the duo share number for every member up until 4(new system)2 Players in party: 87%3 Players in party: 77%4 or more Players in party, stays at a constant 67% indefinitelyI will be making more changes, adjusting the percentages and testing out the solo boost system as well in future. Hunting Spot Updates▬▬▬-A Checkpoint has been added to the beginning of Boss Run 4: Hitchhiker's Shrine-TP leading back to Boss Run 3 has been created at grassy part of Boss Run 4Boss Run 4 has also been turned into a competitive hunting spot with this change as its more accessible and there is no need to walk through te whole Boss Run 3 to access Boss Run 4 anymore.A full rotation back to Boss Run 3 can now be done as well, the portal leading back there can be found right after the white road as you arrive into the grassy part with Ophiuchuses and Giants, the TP has been placed on top of the mountain on the grassy spot. Spydyr's Sanctum Updates & Other Tweaks▬▬▬-Added multiple new expansions to Spydyr's Sanctum CP2 Hunting Area:-One long road West with extremely fast spawning Babylonians & Greythorns-Removed east side Draconises and replaced them with a big spawn of Rhegglaahks-Added a new large area where a few new Cosmic Draconises spawn at peaks-The area is designed to have people lure Cosmic Draconises one by one-Added a new Boss spawn with entrance Sotuh East of CP2, high spawntime-Boss spawn is a superior version of KF2 and Procyon's Lair for high levels-Added ability to return to Spydyr's Sanctum CP1 Road, it works as hunt spot-Babylonian, Greythorn & Cosmic Draconis XP gains were boosted and HP lowered-Cosmic Draconis gives Task Points and was also added to the Bestiary-Highered egg drops on all 3 Draconises and overall loot rate for itemsSpydyr's Sanctum has now been turned into a legitimate high level hunting spot that easily rivals places like Kingdom Farmlands 2 and Procyon's Lair with the fast spawning Vermithraxes, Orbithraxes, Procyons & Achernars. Also spawntimes were modified to be faster than in other places. Cosmic Draconis Spawn can be accessed South West, the way to hunt Cosmic Draconises works best by avoiding their waves, changing directions at timely manner and also by walking to diagonal directions and using obstacles to switch directions. Boss Run 5 is Being Tweaked ALL DAY
Boss Run 5 Updates & Tweaks▬▬▬-Added a Checkpoint to Boss Run 5, it can be accessed through NPC Mystic Rick-Checkpoint 1 is available right at the beginning of Boss Run 5 Area-2 Juggermen were removed from the early parts, 1 Jugger is left there-Decreased number of Juggermen in the early Jugger-mud-trap spot after Jungle-Decreased the number of Greythorns & Babylonians at huge Green Field beginning-Highered spawntime of Cosmic Draconis & The Crafty at first Lever to 1 Hour(Double spawn might still happen, so be careful and play accordingly)-Highered spawntimes from 300sec to 1h for the following mobs at the peninsula:-Juggermen, Cobratrons, Vladraculas, War Elephants and a few Baby Lilys-Many Juggermen & Cobratrons, War Elephants & Vladracs were removed from PeninsulaPeople should always use Wild Growths to block Juggermen, I saw too many deadly situations where people would either keep mwalling or just panic and not use any protection with Juggers. So yeah, play it safe! Also the area with Cosmic Draconis & Crafty should be played in a way to prevent double spawning, you dont wanna have two Crafties up your neck cause thats a deadly combo right there! Most monsters have a 30 to 40 minute spawntime at Boss Run 5, so keep that in mind. There are multiple resurrection tiles at the large green fields but they are not that easy to access. Once you learn the monster placements and the area, it'll be much easier, though.I got tons of good feedback from people during the recent Boss Run 5 sessions, so making the improvements was easy! Always let me know if theres anything to tweak at the new areas and I'll get right into it! Boss Run 5 probably functions as a very good hunting spot as well now, so try it out! You might also see some things like river flows be slightly faster and so on, it definitely takes a bit of getting used to. Also I've implemented Addons for the Outfits so this brings extra uniqueness to the Outfit updates. We'll have to comb through many of the outfits to see how fitting they truly are, but most of them have already passed the check and will definitely be implemented into the game permanently. 🙂I also added tons of new test items in the form of gear, backpacks, grounds, plants, anything you can imagine. A massive new Quest area with many new bosses & mechanics has been released!Boss Run 5: Spydyr's Tectonic Plates▬▬▬-New Boss Run 5 area entrance is located somewhere at Hitchhiker's Realm-Atleast 35 Hitchhiker's Intergalactic Telescopes must be collected for access-Boss Run 5 is mostly Anti-Resurrection Zone, except for resurrection tiles-Many types of new bosses with new mechanics have been added to the areaThe new Boss Run 5 is multiple times bigger than Boss Run 4 in terms of content size and also difficulty (at times). It is continuation to all the previous Boss Runs and follows a similar quest progression. We've done tons of tweaks and optimizations to the client and added all types of new functionalities as well! Sky Rider Shield Enchantment
Sky Rider Shield Level 4 Enchantment has been released. It is the final enchantment for Sky Rider Shield and provides the most benefit out of all the enchantment levels.At Level 4 you are given +12% Damage Protection from all damages (+3% extra for Mages), also 2% protection against New Era damage (Pink damages that pierce through all current armor and protection types).The task is also different from all previous tasks as it has 8 phases, which means you have to switch the monsters you are killing throughout the task.You have to do 10000 kills. But there are multiple phases, 8 in total. Kills 0 to 1000 (Procyons, Achernars, Orbithraxes). Kills 1000 to 2000 (Hybrids, Morgaroths). Kills 2000 to 4000 (White Rippers & Black Rippers). Kills 4000 to 8000 (Greythorns & Babylonians). Kills 8000 to 8500 (Achernar Xs & Procyon Xs). Kills 8500 to 9000 (Cobratrons, Cygnuses, Lacertaes). Kills 9000 to 9500 (Canopus, Zeta & Alpha Doraduses). Final Kills 9500 to 10000 (Craakodiles & Intergalactic Hitchhikers (1 Hitch kill equals 10 kills). Bring 10k Gold Nuggets, 3k Draconis Eggs, 120k Task Points, 4000 Outcast Tokens, 10x EXP Boost 4s & 10x EXP Boost 3s, 35 Small Magic Mushroom (collectible item ones), 5 Bullish Tongues. Bullish City with Bullish Monsters
We're starting the week off with a content update for Low to Mid level players, a new hunting & grinding area with various monster mixes and a new monster called "Bullish" has been released. This place is called the "The Bullish City". This place has mostly Evil House Elves and Bullish monsters, along with low tier bosses at various multi layered places. Also Olmec Draconises, some Aztec Draconises and Ancient Tigers & Lions can be found from the place. The spawn time is extremely fast for all the monsters, so hunting continuously at the Bullish City even with multiple people around is possible due to its map design and quick spawns.The area is located north at the Evil House Elf area in the Fallen Gods: Magicians Creek hunting spot. Bullish monsters can drop Draconis Eggs, as they like to steal them from Draconis Nests. They also drop Regen Tools & similar items to Evil Elves. They drop Bullish Tongues, a new type of collectible that will be used for higher end tasks. Buy them off of lower level players, its a great deal! The Bullish City will continue expanding into a much larger construct once we find the right settings regarding XP/H and spawn time.Next up on the line in terms of updates to be released will be high-end enchantments, new hunting areas & quests, bosses & mechanics along with unknown epic items! Quick monster speed changes
The following monsters were made unpushable as there was an issue that allowed them to be pushed by players▬▬▬Blackbeard, Deathslicer, Angel of Demise, Cobratron, The Crafty, Ratatouille, Scabber, Black Ripper, Zombie X, Ancient Tiger, Juggerman▬▬▬Retargeting and walking speeds of the following monsters were changed. Most of them were operating at speeds over a thousand times faster than Alpha Monks in previously mentioned training update, and they were not only a performance issue but also causing problems to players especially with lower end connections. These changes will also affect the monster difficulties in the affected mobs so further adjustments will be made, especially to mobs such as the War Elephant that are at important parts of quests.▬▬▬Hybrid, Hydrocon, Evil, Very Evil & Super Evil Limps, Surphyre and Surphyrion Maximus, Chinese Panda, Cyclip, Cyclip God, Guardian Bosses, Donkey Rider & Donkey Rider Lord, Refeeree & All Football related monsters, War Elephant, All Beheloniano Versions, Zeta & Alpha Doradus, Arm of doom, King Aethelbald, Helarctos & Malayanus, Hydrocon, Sky Rider and Skyrider knight, MungrorathAs always, let me know how the changes feel like and if anything unexpected has happened due to the adjustments. Alpha & Train Monk System Updates & Shielding Tweaks▬▬▬I've done some massive changes into the whole training system in the past weeks, these are more optimization focused changes overall but bring quality of life improvements to the training systems as well.-Train Monks do not attack back anymore, they work as dummies and weapon trainers-A new training tile system was implement, the ground you stand on provides shielding-At regular monks you will gain 2 Train Monk hits per second when standing there-At houses that previously had Alphas, you will be getting 80 Monk Hits per second-All Alpha Monks were removed and replaced with regular Monks due to system changes-Age 2 Monk area now places anyone that logs outside of the monk spot into a free spot-Actual shield isnt required to gain shielding anymore, you just need to stand the spot-Overall this changes the whole space requirement for monk spots at trainers and houses-Only 2 SQMs are required now for gaining maximum shielding in a house or public spots-Hit animation is shown everytime you gain shielding at the new Training Tile spotThere were hundreds of alpha monks, each one doing 20 hits per second attacking people in houses all day while also having a check up happening that looks for a shield and then gives shielding for each hit done putting an unnecessary stress on the server. I somehow overlooked this for years while performing other types of important performance fixes on server side, and funnily enough it turned out that doing this new this monk thingy was one of the biggest performance improvements ever.Now all you need is 2 squaremeters, one for a monk that you hit and one for the squaremeter that you stand on next to the monk that provides the shielding hits per second. This removed tens and tens of thousands of unnecessary mathematical calculations and data being sent back and forth between the player and server on a constant basis.Most Alpha Monk rooms in houses can now be reduced to 2 SQM train spots, so more space is now free for decorations and whatnot. Client Updates▬▬▬-Pigeon icon now marks when a player is standing inside Protection Zone-Auto Hotkey System is now automatically disabled when a player is in PZ-Notifications are sent to clearly indicate when its being disabled/enabled-Fixed issues with Loot Alarm item list window not scaling properly-Fixed issue with !task points, max points checker failing rarely-Bloodied up Eye status symbol shows up when a player has been blinded-Green themed Paralyze icon shows up when a player is Full ParalysisThe main point of this Auto Hotkey fix and Pigeon PZ system is to work as a safety mechanism to prevent people from forgetting their auto hotkey system on as we are moving towards the second phase of the Runeless System. In the Phase 2 people will be able to load up on rune charges from the NPC once again but obviously there will be no runes in item form as you'll just be loading the charges up.On top of that, Ive been observing the auto hotkey usage for quite a while now and it turns out there has been a significant amount of people just spamming runes endlessly while standing in PZ, and a huge portion of overall auto hotkey usage has been from people staying AFK.As Im always looking to optimize the network performance and overall performance of the game as well, this latest change was a natural move to make in the grand scheme of optimizations. There are still things to figure out as this PZ/Autohotkey prevention feature will cause issues for people hunting at places like Kingdom Farmlands 2, and we dont want to be encouraging any outside software to be used as a result of the changes. Maintenance Patch▬▬▬-Decay time of 1 body type dead mobs has been boosted from 1 to 2 minutes-Updated new animations that indicate when a monster teleporter players-Added 2 new player states and mechanics: Blindness and Full Paralysis-Updated timers in Boss Run 4: Hitchhikers Shrine timer stone system-No matter which way the lever is pulled, the timers are now the same-Added a new icon for being in PZ, Pigeon appears when standing in PZ-Fixed issue with Paralyze icon not always leaving and reacting properly-Fixed issue with Haste icon not corresponding to player speed always-Updated Monster UI, it now shows current % of Health when looked at-Experience and Max Health are also now shown in clearly readable formThe Boss Run 4 Stone levers used to remove the stones for a longer period at first pull, and then for a shorter period on second pull. The idea behind that was that if you went to pull the lever for a second time, you'd most likely have no spawn and returning to the stones would take less time, thus the shorter period on the stone re-appearing and locking the quest up. That obviously wasnt really used in any meaningful way, and turns out it just causes issues and confusion if anyone tried to do the quest after a while with full spawn again. Now pulling the levers both to the right and left will have the stones re-appear at the same interval.Blindness, Full Paralysis & ability to see current health of a mob in percentage are all part of new upcoming monster mechanics related to a major content update. XP Graves & Mushrooms▬▬▬XP Graves have been reset and moved to places where even Santa doesnt dare visiting. But rest assured, it'll feel like Christmas when you finally arrive at the grave!10x new and fresh 3rd Generation Magic Mushrooms have been seen growing somewhere deep and far away from the eyes of the Outcastians. This puts the total amount of available Mushrooms at 180. The last 20x have supposedly begun growing at places where no man has ever taken a step on, at epic areas full of adventures, bosses and creatures never seen before. Soon the gates will open and people will be able to visit those dangerous spots and enter the next era of Outcast!Changes & Updates▬▬▬Spamming !res command outside of Temple now adds +3 seconds per use to a player's exhaust, which effectively disables anyone's ability to stand afk at a monster filled place waiting to get resurrected back. In the past few weeks people begun to use !res command afk, in order to be resurrected back to where they were while still staying afk and that in itself is a recipe for disaster.In the past few days I've also made some adjustments to the Spydyr's Chasm area which has been in heavy use due to the Baphomet's Red Ruby Wristband Level 1 task. Similar to Boss Run 4, it is now cut in multiple parts to stop people from doing extremely long lures and having other people stand AFK at a specific spot waiting to get free task kills and experience. Overall, a very bad habit was starting to form where half the people were standing at a hunting area trying to snatch free EXP and task kills, while the other half was actively luring an extreme amount of monsters towards the total team. This another recipe for disaster and goes against what we're trying to build here; A game where active playing is encouraged and required in order to progress and move forward.I've nipped it in the bud now, and will continue to do so whenever required. I believe the reason for this in the past few weeks was the area in which Baphomet's Level 1 Enchantment task was required to be done, and as creative as people are, they truly figured out a way to play in an almost unfair way and do the task without effort. Baphomet's Red Ruby Wristband Enchantment▬▬▬Wristband Enchantment has been released recently, it involves demolishing a massive amount of new monsters and bringing in various types of task items. The Level 1 Enchantment itself will be the first one of its kind, as it brings +5% Protection towards the new era damages that have previously been impossible to block with any type of gear, ring or item. Client Updates▬▬▬Quest Log and Quest Tracker system were added to the clientThe Quest Log provides information regarding which quests are available and which ones you've completed. It essentially lists all the adventures from the Book and upon clicking the quest, provides the extra information related to the quest or its missions.Any Quest can be added to the Tracker, it'll show the distance live from the quest and also the simple directions to the final chest, once completed new information is shown and a nice reminder to cash in the rewards from Book of Adventures as well.Overall, this makes operating the Book of Adventures much easier and clearer, people can choose which quests they go for and dont have to follow the suggestions from Book of Adventures. After that you will begin to hear the notification sounds if Loot Alarms are enabled! By default, all loot that is defined as Rare will play a specific sound and on top of that all player specified drops will play a different sound. This will make getting task items and other loots much more efficient and easier without having to constantly scroll through the endless loot logs! Click the XP Boost Statue, you fool!
XP Boost Statue Updates▬▬▬When a player below level 2000 activates the statue, they will now automatically have a dynamically adjusting % protection against all damages, which scales towards 0% as they approach level 2000. This extra protection was added since nowadays every single questing session is done in Hardmode, which means that instead of regular monsters we are fighting top of the line mobs that are not normally in the quests we go to - and those monsters also happen to one hit lower level players way too often interrupting the smoothness and the flow of the questing session. This way, lower level people can enjoy the quests more and stay alive for longer which should improve the quality of the experience, and the amount of experienced gained. At the end of the day, its all about the experience!Due to recent changes in the EXP Stages which made them significantly higher on lower levels, the XP Boost statues now have dynamically scaling Boost % which is adjusted upwards as the players XP rate goes down, this way the gains made in Hardmode sessions are kept under control and lower level people will not be catching a months worth of XP from a single session. The boost percentages fly between 150% and 300% - All high levels will be running on 300% due to their low XP Rates.I am also in the process of developing new systems that would enable trusted members of the community to announce and organize larger questing sessions without any of the staff members having to be there to adjust the portals in temple and the statue placements during questing sessions. EXP Grave Updates▬▬▬-XP Graves will now give 60-90% more XP on average on any Level-The Final XP Grave now gives 6x Graves worth of XP when foundThe overall XP was raised since people have gotten higher and higher level, so this makes finding the graves more rewarding and worthwhile. Also finding all the graves is now much more sensible as you'll get the same XP from the final grave as you'd get from all the 6 Graves in total. Basically, the last XP Grave gives you 6 times the normal experience!3 Knight Weapon Enchantments▬▬▬Level 2 Enchantments for Nandaka Sword, Parashu Axe & Kaladanda Club have been released - They can be accessed from NPC Starboy's Brother. The enchantment provides 1 to 6 SQM randomized Purple Force AoE Damage, Boosted Anti-Miss Damage Output on every hit: highly based on Level and Skill Level, +5% Protection from Mana Drain, also Damage & Healing are boosted by +2%. Book of Adventures▬▬▬-Reorganized over 50 quests and the order they appear in the Book of AdventuresThis change significantly improves the difficulty rise that happens when progressing with the book, there will be no sudden jumps in difficulty but rather a smooth curve upwards towards the harder quests. Various Quest line and quest item descriptions were updated in order to make it easier to understand what is required for upcoming quests in the Book.Monster Loot & Collectibles Updates▬▬▬-Cobratron has a normal lootable human body on death and loot was added to the mob-X Bosses now have the highest chance of dropping whatever rares they can drop-All the X Bosses now drop the following items: Ornamented Ankhs and Apples-Berserker Lions and Cobratrons now drop Judgement Day Teddy Bears-Black Widows, Giganticus Arachnids & Cobratrons now drop Melee Diamonds-Shrimps can now be dropped from Frost, Swamp & normal TrollsEXP Rate Changes on Low-Mid Levels▬▬▬EXP Rates were heavily modified and optimized to fit the current meta, gameplay and average level of people and overall progression of the game. Monsters & Items Library Updates ▬ monsters.outcastserver.com▬▬▬New monster looks and item names are now visible in the monsters & items library, everything is fully up to date, so all the information regarding tasks and other missions can now be found more easily from the library and is kept up to date on a constant basis. Also all Mechanical Bosses, Trigger Bosses & EXP Raid Monsters now show 0 XP given in the monster library to further clarify the reading & browsing experience.Monster Loot Optimizations▬▬▬X Bosses such as Achernar X, Procyon X and Orbithrax X had their loots completely re-vamped, they now only drop true ultra rares. Casual non-X Procyons, Achernars, Vermithraxes and Procyons have had various lower end and unnecessary items removed from their loots, these following items are no longer available:Great Axe, Dark Star Armor, Golden Legs, Magicians Hat, Dragon Scale Legs, Black Helmet, Rune of Homestead, Rune of Almighty Abilities, Black Obsidian Tool & various collectibles that are also available from lower end monsters. Also many lower end monsters had tons of useless items removed from the loots to make the overall process of looting clearer.
New Weapon Enchantments & Fixes
The Weapon Enchantments▬▬▬Level 2 Enchantment Task has been released for Staff of Moses, its available from Starboy's Brother at Edron boat. Enchanting boosts Staff of Moses with following abilities: 9 SQM Red Burst AoE (higher area covered with each shot), damage & healing boosted by +2%, +4 Mana regen per second.Sharanga - The Bow of Angel Wings Level 2 Enchantment Task has also been been added to NPC Starboy's Brother. Draconir has a new type of slightly demonic theme, as its an ancient place ruled by the almighty Draconis species! EXP Raids are getting better and better
EXP Raid Updates & OptimizationsThe new type of XP Gain from raid monsters is now heavily Level based which makes it extremely balanced across the board. We ran a test with the new settings last weekend and the data indicated that this is the right solution, so we'll keep it level based now and run a couple more tests to get everything perfectAnimations & Projectile Animations are now automatically disabled for everybody during the main EXP Raid EventMany people seemed to have issues with hundreds upon hundreds animations appearing on screen simultaneously during the raid so disabling animations and projectile animations globally should have a positive effect on overall smoothness of the game for everybody at the EXP RaidRemoved a legacy feature which disable the usage of manarunes on other players during EXP Raid - They can now be used freely on anybody at the EXP RaidRemoved a feature which disabled the usage of Avalanche and Great Fireball runes during the EXP Raid, it will now be easier to be more target specific while using Avalanches at the raidFor some more wild stuff, look at our discord at discord.gg/outcastserver
Client Fixes & Optimizations
Client Updates-Updated AutoHotkey: changed the min/max values from 50ms/2k ms to 1k ms/10k msThis allows for people to perform actions up to once every 10 seconds now, and removes unnecessary spamming such as attemping to use manarunes 20 times per second when its really only possible to use them once per second, I noticed there were tons of people performing actions with Auto Hotkey at unnecessarily high speeds for no good reason, so it has been limited to the actual value of the exhaust now. We'll see how people feel about the minimum value and whether or not it has to be lowered. New Content: Hunting Areas & New Monsters: Spydyr's Chasm & Babylonian WallBabylonian Wall▬▬▬A new expansion area called the Babylonian Wall was added to the Incan Empire, somewhere at a hidden spot a door exists that can only be passed if you have 5 of Hitchhiker's Intergalactic Telescopes collected!Behind the door you can find some of the new Draconises: Babylonian Draconis & Greythorn Draconis monsters. Also the new Berserker Lions are available at the area, but watch out for those Lions, you'll never tame them!Spydyr's Chasm▬▬▬Somewhere deep in the trenches of the Hitchhiker's Realm exists the possibility of opening a portal that leads to Spydyr's Chasm. Where exactly? General Updates-The most sough after feature in the game has finally been reinstated: Fishing-Normal fishies have been removed from monster loots and can only be fished now-Fishing will be developed further and eventually integrated into future content-Edron Annihilator can now be done solo but there is a Level door to prevent abuse-Drushak Annihilator and Great Axe Quests also have Level doors placed at entrances-Fixed issues with many high level Paladins not being able to gain magic levels-Fixed issue with people not being able to sell dragon scale legs at NPC TiranoOther Noteable ChangesAdded a new safety mechanic to Hitchhiker's Intergalactic Telescopes which prevents multiple people from clicking them simultaneously. Once you click a scope, a protective circulating Orb appears on top of it for a minute. This basically highers the difficulty of the scopes and forces more tactical gaming rather than just pulling the good old "click & die"Magic Level caps and limitations have been completely removed. Previously Magic Levels were soft capped to 140 for Mages, 60 for Paladins and 14 for Knights. The soft cap has been removed and the rate at which you gain magic levels has been returned to normal !mana Command and Skills window will now show properly up to date information regarding advancements in gaining magic levelsCity raids do NOT disable PvP anymore, they also do not interfere with the PvP Level Limit. This means that even if a city raid starts, Zombie Events will always go through. New Hitchhiker's Intergalactic Adventure Telescopes50 of Hitchhiker's Intergalactic Telescopes have been placed into different types of places in the map for people to take a long hard look past the edges of the realm!The following places are where the telescopes might exist in: Yalahar: Incan Empire, Mayan Ruins, Dark Mountains, Chambers, Abyss 1 & 2 & 3, The Space Ship, The Space Walk, Achernars Prison, Boss Run 4, Hitchhikers Realm, Achernar's Lonely Island (Abyss 3 Reward Area)The Telescopes are separated into 3 Phases: You must complete Phase 1 before Phase 2, and Phase 2 before Phase 3. Each Phase gets more challenging and the telescopes are mostly (not always) placed in harder and more distant areas as the Phases and Serial Numbers go up. For example, Phase 1 Scopes can be mostly found all around the well known less challenging Yalahar areas.The Scopes have many new tricks up inside them, anti-barrier abilities, highly randomized luck based factors which bring a new element of surprise and the requirement of tactics in surviving the onslaught. You'll be able to see each Telescope's Serial Number as well once you've stared through them!They also shoot you up with a truly significant amount of XP, comparable to XP Graves.Monster Revamps & UpdatesVladraculas, Giganticus Arachnids, Black Widows & Rhegglaahks have taken their powerful & final forms. Content UpdateBosses, mysterious time trials & epic hunting areas!-We've released 2 epic areas: Boss Run 4 Questing Area and Hitchhiker's Realm-Boss Run 4 is continuation to Boss Run 3 which was at the Kingdom Farmlands-The area can be accessed by going through a portal at the end of Boss Run 3-Boss Run 4 is an area with the strongest creatures and a floaty cosmos theme-The massive hunting area called Hitchhiker's Realm can be accessed at Boss Run 4-Hitchhiker's Realm is a hardcore hunting land with every possible monster combo-The area can be accessed by solving the mysteries and time trials of Boss Run 4-The Realm is suitable for solo as well as team hunts due to its ultra massive sizeThe journey leads from Hitchhiker's Shrine to the Hitchhiker's Realm!
New dialogues, new ways to talk to NPCs
Client Updates-Full Minimap has been integrated into the Outcast client by default-Utamo Armorus now has its own indicator logo for when its activated-It is now possible to highlight texts blue and make them clickable-Put texts inside {} brackets and it will appear as blue everywhere-We have enabled the first simplistic version of sounds in the Client-Visit Options->Audio and turn Audio on along with the other options-Private Message sound plays a notification on every received PM-Nudge plays a sound to the person who you mention within <> brackets-Use < Playername > format to nudge someone in a chat visible to themWe've also updated the NPC Dialogues - If you click blue texts in default chat, a menu will open up from which you can choose what you want to communicate to the NPC. Currently this new dialogue system has been integrated with the most used NPCs which are Starboy and Sir Mystic Rick. This makes having a dialogue with NPCs much faster and easier then ever before!In future we'll also let everybody customize the sound system more and let you choose what exactly triggers a notification sound: For example a loot drop that you've specified could trigger a notification sound and a highlighted text in the loot log! :)As always, check discord.gg/outcastserver out for more details!
Runes without runes, whuda thunkit?
The Runeless SystemIn the recent months we've migrated towards a better and smoother gaming experience. One of the new features is the so called "Runeless System". This means that you do not need to carry actual runes, which also means more organized backpacks and much more space on screen. To set up and use runes, you simply have to navigate to the Hotkey Manager and use the dropdown menu to choose which rune you want to use.Also, it is not possible to miss hits anymore when using manarunes or UH runes on yourself. We also removed the ability to purchase runes from Presko for the time being, and runes were removed from all houses and will also be removed from all players automatically very soon! Runeless System will continue to evolve and in future you will simply be purchasing charges instead of actual rune items. We'll have a custom window which will show how many charges you have currently left for each rune you've purchased. 🙂As always, check discord.gg/outcastserver out for more details!

-Removed all mech bosses whos only purpose was to close or remove gates & teleports
-Gates, TPs and other appearing & disappearing objects are now timer based instead
-Mech bosses which create objects appear when hit and walk to be more detectable
-Mech bosses are no more permanently invisible and show clear signs when hit and found
-Mech bosses stay longer, appear earlier and do not despawn as fast as they did before
-Removed randomization of mobs, same mix always appears but in different SQMs

Also fixed the issues with crowded tight spaces where players stack up on top of each other causing invisibility as people walk off the stack. Monsters & Items LibraryWe've recently released a new Monsters & Items Library that shows all types of information regarding monster statistics and more specifically their loot. You can also search for specific items in the Items Library to see which monster drops them and what type of stats all the different types of equipment have.The search bar on the monsters page only looks for monsters, and conversely, the search bar on the items page only searches for items. Massive Monster XP Ratio optimizations
Tweaks & OptimizationsA massive amount of optimizations have been performed to multiple different monsters in order to balance out the XP ratios for each monster species. The calculations are based on monster availability around the Outcast realms, their difficulty, loot drops and various ratios between XP, HP, strength and kill time.These changes also make it possible to remove XP statues from all around the map as every monster is now in a more balanced state in terms of XP gained per hour. Around 120 important monsters were tweaked one by one to permanently improve the hunting and questing flow.This also unlocks a new meta, so people should definitely try to figure out the best spots by exploring and testing each new and old area as a team, and also in solo mode. We'll continue tweaking and exploring various new ways to further balance out everything in the massive world of Outcast. All the changes to each monster can be found from the Update section on our Official Discord. :)The greatest XP Spot ever might now be lurking right around the corner!

Abysses of Achernar 3 & the Space Walk

New Level 2 Enchantments For EPic Rings
General Updates-Added a new hardcore hunting area called Procyon's Lair at Kingdom Farmlands-Added new Level 2 Enchantments for all rare rings, tasks are located at Starboy-Level 2 enchantments provide extra damage & healing abilities along with regen-Various items only found on the map must be collected to complete all the tasks-Task item names along with descriptions have been clarified due to task usage-Procyon's Lair can be found at Kingdom Farmlands Checkpoint 2 by walking south-Added 10 new collectible Mysterious Mushrooms in the game all arouund the map-The total number of Mysterious Mushrooms will rise to 50 slowly as they spread-Total count of collected Mystical Mushrooms can be seen by using !graves command-Kingdom Farmlands Checkpoint 2 area has been modified and improved for hunting-Farmlands Checkpoint 2 now has multiple Vermithraxes, Orbithraxes and Procyons-Edron's Magic Shops and west part were optimized for better hunting experience-EXP Graves have been moved & reset once again, they were placed to hard spots-The Main City Vroengard, has been moved to Fall theme in preparation for winter-Fixed a bug with Level 1 Enchants for rings not operating properly after upgrade-Fixed issues with all Pyramids concerning wrong movement at every Desert city-Fixed wrong info in dialogue regarding various enchantment tasks at NPC Starboy-Added a new 30 minute Ring called the Berserker Ring for extra damage and healing-Fixed issue with Red Fist usage causing extremely low damage during PvP situations-The Berserker ring adds over +50% to damage and healing abilities when in PvE mode-The ring can be dropped by all the same bosses as other 30 minute consumable rings-It is not possible to use Berserker ring in PvP mode as it will inflict very low damage-Removed Exani Tera Maximus momentarily due to issues with its full functionality-Improved Abyss 1 Checkpoint to stop monster luring at stairs & blocking playersAchernar's Time, the Abyss 3, the ultimate adventure is closing in, be ready! :)

Enchantment UpdatesNew Level 2 Enchantment tasks have been released for the following rare high end Equipment Sets: Oceanic Lizard Set, Marianas Set, Craaktron Set, Sky Rider Set and Red Scorcher Set. All of the tasks are challenging long term missions. The new enchantment provide serious boost into the current HP & Mana renegeration abilities of the sets, along with adding extra % protection for all types of damages.The enchantments require completion of various areas, and the ability to collect hard to get items from rare monsters, also obtaining older upgrade sets is a requirement.Level 2 Enchantments for rings, regen tools and weapons will be released as well, with new, never before seen types of missions required to complete the enchantments. When the tasks are released in their first form, they will always require more balancing, tweaking and optimizing. Let me know if you have any suggestions and ideas regarding the Enchantments that were released, any improvements are welcome, as always! The second and final part will be released around Christmas, so the final door in the Calendar will open up in the near future. General Updates-Added a new EQ Set called the Craaktron's Set, it is superior to Mariana's Set-Parts of Craaktron's Set can be looted from all the same bosses as Mariana's-Double Loot will now happen every 6 hours for the better part of December-Updated the information regarding latest changes in sets to the Outcast Wiki-NPC Capricornus now buys all Craaktron Set parts for 125 Gold Nuggets a piece-Heavily modified loot rates & tables of Sky Rider, Red Scorcher & Hoodoo Sets-Parts of Sky Rider, Red Scorcher and Hoodoo Sets can now be looted separately-The lootrates for single pieces are much higher than looting a full set at once-All the high end bosses that drop full sets can also now drop single piecesWith the previously mentioned changes in loot rates and loot tables, the dynamics of looting have now been changed in a major way. The economy of high end ultra rare sets will be sparked up as more trading between people will occur in an attempt to collect a full set. More parts will be distributed amongst Outcastians, and the goal of getting a complete ultra rare set will not seem as impossibly distant as it did before. :)Also, with Double Loot happening much more often during December, we will get to observe its effects better and see what kind of lucky streaks people go on.On a third note, there is a ton of content and new functionalities waiting to be released in the upcoming weeks and months. The main goal is to make the EXP Gain at these areas competitive with Yalahar areas such as the Mayan Ruins and the Incan Empire places. The fist, the hits, the extra protectionMajor Changes affecting the PvP, Exhaust and Damage systems
The Fist SystemPeople can now decide whether or not their spells hit players or just monsters. By turning the Red Fist ON, you will hit players and monsters. If you have it turned OFF, you will only do damage to monsters with your spells. Additionally, the Red Fist changes the exhaust and damage of Sonar, Uber Exori and Exori.When the Red Fist is ON and you are able to attack players, that means the exhaust of Sonar, Uber Exori and Exori will be the same as UE/POX on Mages. When the Red Fist is OFF, the exhaust of these spells will be faster but you will only do damage to monsters. For Mages, the exhaust of UE/POX is now faster when the Red Fist is OFF, which allows doing double spells and healing right after doing the spells, like Sonar and Uber Exori used to be. The exhaust of UE/POX is higher when Red Fist is ON and you are able to do damage to players. Critical Hits Paladins and Knights, when using melee (all types of weapons and spears), will now randomly do Critical Hits. This means that an extra amount of damage based on your level is added to the melee hit. When a player does a Critical Hit, a small animated text is broadcasted on top of their character. Critical Hits are only done when attacking monsters with a melee weapon.Shield ProtectionCyclip, Oceanic and Sky Rider shields all give a specific % of protection from all types of damages. The % of protection is slightly higher for Mages than Paladins & Knights. The protection levels are as follows: Cyclip Shield 2%, Oceanic Shield 5%, Skyrider Shield 8%. For Mages, Oceanic Shield adds 9% protection from total Damage taken, and Sky Rider shield adds 14%.The shield protection system is just the beginning of the story and it creates a base functionality for upgrading any item ability through questing or tasking, like highering their HP/MANA regen, damage protection or the ability to do higher critical hits. Equipment set, Weapon, Shield and various Regen Item abilities will be upgradeable in future with specific features.Extensive testing has to be made to ensure the balance of these new functionalities, so fellow Outcastians, let me know if you have any ideas running through your mind regarding anything related to these new systems. New and improved Death Loss SystemNow that the final version of the Death Loss system has been implemented into the server, various things will be affected by it. Players will now lose a minimal amount of EXP when dying to monsters and other causes such as fire, poison or whatever else might end up getting them killed. To see how much you will lose on your current level, always use the command: !deathloss, it will show you how much EXP you'll lose with each blessing amulet, and also what the losses are when you get killed either by a player, or by something else such as a monster.Its important to remember, 0% Death Loss event still works the same way as always, you lose absolutely nothing when dying if the event is active. It is now preferable to start wearing the best blessing amulets such as Golden Raptor's Amulets & Baphomet's Medallions to suffer the least amount of losses when dying. The loot rates of the previously mentioned amulets have been highered quite a bit, so obtaining them should be much easier now. Also, remember that Blessimus Smeagol, who sits on a chair right to the west of Temple & Depot is selling blessing amulets which are pretty efficient, but not as good as Raptor And Baphomet Amulets.As mentioned earlier, the losses are very minimal when dying so it shouldnt cause too much trouble to anyone. Also, you will not lose any skills or magiclevels when dying, just EXP. And guess what? Recovering your lost EXP is now possible as well, with the Baphomets Tool of Resurrection. :)Updates in the Resurrection SystemThe Resurrection System along with the Baphomets Tool of Resurrection have gone through some important changes as well that should be mentioned. First off, whenever you get resurrected by someone after dying and losing some EXP, you will automatically get the EXP back if the resurrection was successful. Secondly, if you were hunting solo and died, you can go back to your body and click your own Baphomet's Tool to recover back the lost EXP. Also, the resurrection tool now disappears whenever it has been used for either resurrecting someone, or used for recovering back the lost EXP.

Gates to Yalahar have now been openedThe Mystical Yalahar: Mayan Ruins area is open for visitors
Yalahar: The Mayan Ruins is the first part of Yalahar being released and unlocked, its a high paced team hunting area with new monsters called Mayan Draconises spread all around the area, guarding the ancient Mayan Ruins. Multiple boss spawns were also added around the new area which makes farming high level bosses more convenient. Spawns with mobs such as Vermithrax, Zeta and Alpha Doradus, Hypergiants, various forms of Xarptors and Morgaroths exist all around the Mayan Ruins in the underground parts, as well as rooftops. Most of the ground floor has been swarmed Mayan Draconises, which is something to keep in mind when exploring the new areas. Be safe, warriors!The Mayan Ruins can be accessed through NPC Mystic Rick and alternatively through portal at Edron Boss Run 1 right after the BeLuna portal near the end of Boss Run 1. Players do not need the checkpoint to be activated in order to get teleported to the new area. You can simply travel there by paying 1 Gold Nugget to Mystic Rick without having activated the checkpoint!More mysteries will appear at Yalahar as the area keeps expanding! :)

Spawntime ChangesThe spawntimes of over 20000 monsters have been improved and optimized. Various bosses and other high difficulty monsters now spawn 60% faster all around the map. Mid difficulty monsters such as Dark Wizards, Angels and others spawn roughly about 75% faster than before, meaning that their spawtime is somewhere between 10 to 20 minutes depending on the area. Low difficulty monsters spawn quickly everywhere by having a new spawntime of 2-4 minutes.These changes allow people to switch up their hunting and exploration styles and farm bosses more easily, as well as grind levels and loot at easier areas without having to wait for new spawn all the time. The first version of the new Death Loss system has now been activated. This should be considered a type of testing version since various flaws need to be patched and improvements must be made for the system to reach perfection. We're taking baby steps with this new system, or something along the lines of that atleast. :)In short, the mechanics of it work in the following manner:1. You will only lose levels & experience if you get killed by a player2. You will NOT lose any levels or experience if you get killed by a monster3. You must use blessings and AOLs as you will drop EQ & BP no matter what kills you4. If you have a Red Skull, you will drop all of your equipment if you die by any cause5. You will NOT lose Skills or Magic Levels if you die, it is still 0% Loss for those two6. General Updates-Integrated the PvP Training Server into the Main Server-Added an option to create a character to "PvP Training" World-Made all characters automatically become fully geared 150 level Mages-Added specific kill counter that shows kills by saying !kills command-Removed the old PvP Training World that had a separate ClientPvP Training ServerThe PvP Training Server has been integrated into the main server. You can now create a character at the PvP Training Area by choosing the "PvP Training" option in the "World" option when creating a new character. This integration allows anybody to login to the PvP Training Area with the main Outcast Client without having to download a separate client. You can also message players in the main server and call your buddies to PvP with you more easily, as the PvP Training area exists within the main server now.All characters created on the "PvP Training" World are level 150 Mages with a full Templar Set and multiple backpacks full of various types of runes, this allows the players to focus on training their skills without having to worry about losing levels or gear.Join the PvP Training Server and start hitting SDs like a real Outcast pro! :)

EXP Raid (Event has been held)What is an EXP Raid?EXP Raid is a great chance to grab some easy levels and win special rewards. Multiple special custom monsters will be summoned near the depot & temple area for people to kill. People who participate the raid can also win things such as "Exp Boost 4" and various other donor gear by simply joining the event. PvP is always off during these raids.Other Events- Highered EXP rates are already activated for levels between 8 to 300- Party EXP Share Bonus has been boosted from 10% to 25%- There will be a countdown for the momentarily boosted Loot rates- Double loot will only be activated for small periods of timeIts the right time for an epic & mystical adventure to begin! :)
